In 2024, we moved ahead with some remodeling work to our home. Our realtor gave us the name of Excel Design & Build that she had received good comments about from one of her other clients. They were very happy with the work done and were pleased that Excel was very flexible and easy to work with. We reached out to Jeff, the owner of Excel Design, and we met to discuss the remodeling that we had in mind. Jeff was very helpful in advising us on the work and he helped us to firm up our plans. He quoted us a price that we were pleased with. As the work began, we identified additional work scopes such as adding the remodeling of our basement bathroom into the scope of work. The overall scope was increased, and the additional cost was a combination of fixed amounts and variable amounts when the work could not be completely determined such as the adjustment of most of the basement doors that did not close properly. Jeff and his brother, Michael, as well as the subcontractors did excellent work that we found to be impressive. The team was patient with us and flexible in adjusting both the scope and schedule as needed. We are very pleased with the completed remodeling, and we would use Excel Design & Build again if we have additional work to be done. We found that Excel Design is very willing to take on both large scopes and minor addons. Jeff is a man of faith and that gives us strong assurance and confidence that the work will be done both properly and reasonably. Excel Design is our “go to” contractor going forward.
